The scouts of Boy Scout Troop 29 and Venture Crew 77 offer bulk mulch for sale to the public in April and May, 2008.

Lots of homeowners use mulch to landscape and improve the look of their property. Why buy from us?
1. Buying in bulk is cheaper than buying in bags. Compare our cost per cubic yard of mulch to the cost of buying a similar amount in bags - you save at least 25% by buying in bulk.
2. We have delivery and service available. Are you busy? Limited physically? We can deliver and/or spread the mulch exactly where you want it for a reasonable fee.
3. You will get the satisfaction of helping your local youth raise money for equipment and activities. If you are going to buy mulch somewhere, why not help them at the same time. Click here to learn more about our fundraising.

What we offer:

Bulk Mulch
Our regular hardwood mulch is a natural brown color and sells for $25 per cubic yard.
Gold-colored hardwood mulch sells for $30 per cubic yard.
Red-colored hardwood mulch sells for $30 per cubic yard.

Bag Mulch:
We will carry two types of bagged mulch because we have found there is some demand (and we hate to turn away any customers):
1.  Red Cedar mulch - $3.25 per two cubic foot bag
2.  Cypress mulch - $3.25 per two cubic foot bag

Mulch will be available for pickup starting on Saturday, April 12. Sandry Fire Equipment of DeWitt generously donates the use of their parking lot for the use of the mulch sale. Sandry is located at 618 6th Street in DeWitt (the old Skeffington's grocery store). Troop adults will be manning the lot on weekends until approximately the end of May.


Delivery Service available:
Cost to deliver 2 cubic yards or less is $7. We bring this amount in the back of a pickup truck.
For more than 2 but less than 8 cubic yards, the delivery cost is $15. We bring this amount in a dump trailer owned by a scout dad.
For amounts of 8 cubic yards or more, the cost is $25. We usually bring this amount in a dump truck owned by a scout dad.
Stated costs are valid for deliveries within 10 miles of DeWitt. Prices for other deliveries are negotiable.

Spreading service available:
Hire a crew of adult-supervised youth to spread your mulch for an additional $10 per cubic yard.
If you pay for the spreading service, delivery charges are waived!
